Regents meeting June 19

The Board of Regents will have its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. June 19 in the Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments on agenda items will be taken prior to their consideration. Comments on nonagenda items will follow the regular business agenda. Docent class planned at Kelsey Museum

The Kelsey Museum of Archaeology is recruiting volunteers for a docent training class in anticipation of the opening of a new exhibition wing. Classes are scheduled for early September through mid-April 2009. Applicants should call 647-0441 or 647-4167. The Kelsey Museum houses a permanent collection of nearly 100,000 artifacts including textiles, glass, pottery, sculpture, coins and more.

Computers installed at dental clinics

A School of Dentistry Floss-Cutting Ceremony June 5 at the 2-Blue dental clinic celebrated the installation of 160 computers in the predoctoral (DDS) student clinics, which means for the first time students each have a computer chair-side. The University committed almost $1 million to implement the patient information system and electronic health records.
