Regents meeting Sept. 18

The Board of Regents will hold its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments on agenda items will be taken prior to their consideration. Comments on nonagenda items will follow the regular business agenda. CTC seeks new members, proposals

Contexts for Classics — an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary faculty consortium that has co-sponsored conferences, lectures, performances, translations, exhibits and other events dedicated to rethinking classical Greco-Roman antiquity from critical, historical, pedagogical and creative perspectives — welcomes new members and proposals for funding and encourages the public to propose ideas and events for co-sponsorship. Taubman Institute announces call for abstracts

The A. Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute announces a call for abstracts to be presented at a symposium at 4 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Biomedical Science Research Building. Abstracts for poster presentations of original research involving stem cells are being sought, along with abstracts of research in basic science, curriculum innovation, clinical outcomes, health services, policy and methodology. The institute encourages submissions describing current works in progress as well as completed studies. There will be three cash prizes.
