Area youth design life sciences murals

Josť Mejia, Ypsilanti High School student, works on a mural of sea animals and plants that will be displayed on a fence surrounding the Life Sciences Institute construction site. Ypsilanti students under the direction of art teacher Robin Evans are designing 35 panels with a life sciences theme.

The University and Ypsilanti Public Schools have established an alliance in the Health Occupations Partners in Education (HOPE) program, which strives to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in health care fields.
