Featured above is a graphite drawing of a turtle skull by junior Staci L. Washington, who is pursuing concentrations in scientific illustration and biology. Washington’s drawing is part of the exhibition ‘Scientific Illustration: It’s Only Natural,’ which is on display through Dec. 15 in the Warren Robbins Gallery, Art and Architecture Building. Coordinated by the Scientific Illustration Club at the School of Art and Design, the free, public exhibition includes work of undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of media and subjects, including species studies, renderings (plants, bugs, birds, etc.), anthropology/paleontology work, still life, and more. An opening reception will be held at 8 p.m. Dec. 8 in the gallery. Illustration courtesy Scientific Illustration Club
