A musical mentor
Center for World Performance Studies artist-in-residence Koo Nimo performs
with his students Dec. 6 in the Residential College Auditorium. The performance featured an Ashanti court drumming and palm-wine guitar
ensemble. Nimo is Ghanas foremost authority on acoustic guitar
high-life, or palm-wine guitar music, and was trained in the
Ashanti drumming tradition at an early age. He is the recipient of a
lifetime award from the International Association for the Study of Popular
