Holiday parking, transportation services

  • Parking and Transportation Services offices will be closed 5 p.m. Dec. 22–Jan. 2.

  • Parking enforcement for color coded permits will be suspended Dec. 23–Jan. 1 at University lots and structures.

  • Commuter Bus: Regular schedule through Dec. 22, resuming Jan. 2.

  • Northwood and Bursley-Baits bus service: Regular schedule through Dec. 22. North Campus housing areas will be served by the North Campus route Dec. 23–24. The North Campus Route will run every 20 minutes, following the holiday and weekend schedule. Last bus leaves Central Campus at 6:20 p.m. Dec. 24. No bus service Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

  • North Campus Route follows winter break schedule Dec. 26-31, with the first bus leaving Northwood V at 7:10 a.m. Service is at 40-minute intervals; last bus leaves Central Campus at 12:10 a.m.

  • Regular weekday bus service resumes Jan. 2. Flyers detailing bus service levels and schedules will be available on buses and at bus shelters.

  • Nite Owl service operates through Dec. 21, and resumes Jan. 4.

  • Parking Express (UMMC) Shuttle Services operate through Dec. 22, and resume Jan. 2. A combined Kellogg/North Ingalls shuttle will be available 7 a.m.–5 p.m. Dec. 26–29, leaving the North Ingalls Building on the hour and half hour. Stops include Riverview, Kellogg, Cancer/Geriatric Center, Taubman and Mott.

  • Paratransit transportation operates through Dec. 22, and resumes Jan. 2.

  • All University buses operating during the holiday recess will be accessible.

  • Taubman Patient/Visitor Structure (M18): Regular operations through Dec. 23. Open for free parking Dec. 24–25. Open for regular operations 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Dec. 26–30. Open for free parking Dec. 31–Jan. 1.

  • Short-term parking at the Taubman Visitor Structure and Patient/Visitor Parking at the North Entrance Structure: Regular operations continue until close of business Dec. 22, and resume Jan. 2.

  • Fletcher Street Visitor Structure: Both visitor and patient areas will operate until close of business Dec. 22. Regular business hours resume Jan. 2, when the visitor area will reopen at 7:30 a.m. and the patient area at 7 a.m.

  • Transportation Garages will close at the end of the afternoon shift Dec. 22 and resume operations at 7 a.m. Jan. 2. The Heavy Equipment Garage will close at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 22. Afternoon emergency calls on Dec. 22 should be directed to the Transportation Garage, (734) 764-2490. Emergencies after Dec. 22 should be directed to Public Safety, (734) 763-1131.

  • Fuel stations will operate throughout the season break. The Baxter Road station is accessible 24-hours. The Kipke Drive station can be made accessible by contacting Public Safety, (734) 763-1131.

  • Parking Maintenance: Direct all emergency calls to Public Safety, (734) 763-1131.

    Ann Arbor Transportation Authority: The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA) will not operate regular fixed-route bus service, A-Ride Paratransit, or Good as Gold senior taxi services on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. Fixed-route bus service will operate at reduced levels Dec. 26–31, with no service on routes 1U and 12U, EMU shuttles, or Route 4 trips leaving Blake Transit Center on the hour and at 30 minutes past, or Blake Transit Center at 15 and 45 minutes past. Route 36 will operate every 30 minutes.

    The Holiday Ride shared-ride taxi service will be available Dec. 26–31 for $2 per person, $1 for senior citizens or persons with disabilities with an AATA ID card, operating only within the Ann Arbor city limits.
