Little inaugurated as U-M-Dearborn chancellor

Regents S. Martin Taylor (right) and Olivia P. Maynard (center) officiated at the inauguration of Daniel E. Little as the fifth chancellor of U-M-Dearborn on Nov. 30.

Little, former vice president of academic affairs at Bucknell University, became chancellor of the Dearborn campus in July. He also is professor of philosophy.

At the inauguration ceremony, President Lee C. Bollinger saluted Little’s ‘ever-present good-will, his eagerness to make things better and his capacity to take pride in the accomplishments of others.’

Through his contacts with the chancellor search committee, Bollinger said he learned that U-M-Dearborn ‘yearns for a potential yet unrealized. If that is so, give your faith and your assistance to Daniel Little, and I pledge to give you all the support possible from the branch campus down the road in Ann Arbor.’ Photo by Tom Laundroche
