Jenkinson, a writer, scholar and commentator, is widely acclaimed as a Jefferson impersonator. He also hosts the nationally syndicated public radio program The Thomas Jefferson Hour. Bidlack teaches undergraduate political science and has been a military officer for 19 years. He twice served as director of global environmental affairs for the National Security Council.
Shaw Livermore, professor emeritus of history, moderated the debate.
A special exhibition of the papers of Jefferson and Hamilton is on display through Feb. 21 at the Clements Library.
