DRDAs Proposal Writing Workshop
The Proposal Writing Workshop will be an intensive overview of the narrative portion of a proposal from the perspective of the reviewer. Areas covered will include approaching a sponsor, components of a narrative (including budget), matching the narrative to the sponsors priorities and guidelines, writing style and common errors to avoid. Sample proposals will be reviewed, and there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and answers. The workshop will be presented by Chris Kahan Black 8:30 a.m.noon Jan. 31 in the Pendelton Room, Michigan Union. DRDA project representatives Kathy DeWitt, Terri Maxwell and Tom Zdeba will be present the last hour of the workshop to answer questions about budget issues and proposals processing. To register, consult the research Web site (www.research.umich.edu). Cost of the workshop is $10 for materials. If you have questions, contact Janet Seegert, (734) 764-7241 or jseegert@umich.edu.
