Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2001: Commitment and Renewal

More than 200 students participated in this year’s ‘Acting on the Dream: The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.’ Sponsored by Students Promoting Awareness, Reflection and Knowledge (SPARK), a division of Project SERVE, the program took students to 24 sites within Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti for community service projects. Locations included the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, Motor City Blight Busters, Arbor Hospice, Guild House, Glacier Hills Nursing Center and Artrain.
