It’s no dream; Bard is in Arboretum

The Residential College and Nichols Arboretum have teamed up to present a series of performances of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as part of the Arts in the Arb program. At top left, Devon Seybert, a third-year Residential College student, and Shoshana Glick, a third-year LS&A student, prepare their costumes. Above left, Angela Youells, a 2000 dance graduate who designed and made fairy costumes for the production, and Helene Beauchamp, a second-year Residential College student, run through the woods in the Arboretum during the performance. Above right, Ryan Yunck, a Lawton Elementary School third-grader, swallows a juicy grape. Kate Mendeloff, lecturer in drama, directs the production, which was made possible by a grant from Ford Motor Co. The remaining performances will be at 7 p.m. June 8 and 9.
