Photo story: Phoenix Lab to be honored

John Lee, professor of nuclear engineering, will accept a plaque on behalf of the University that reads, in part, ‘Rising from the ashes of World War II, the Phoenix Memorial Laboratory and Ford Nuclear Reactor have pioneered peaceful applications of nuclear science for humanity.’ The plaque will be awarded by the American Nuclear Society (ANS) and designates the lab as an ANS historic landmark.
