Doyle is embarking on a new adventure, heading off with her family for the woods of northern Michigan—to write books and do freelance writing.
She joined the Record March 5, 1990, as associate editor, and also was responsible for display advertising. She was promoted to editor March 22, 1995. When the current format hit the stands March 11, 1997, she also became photo editor, and, on many occasions, has stepped in as our photographer.
Doyle was instrumental in orchestrating the current design in collaboration with student designers, and has worked tirelessly to make it possible for us to have great page one photos, among all the others.
Doyle’s last day is tomorrow (Oct. 31). Please join us in wishing her well, and probably in feeling a bit envious.
