Once upon a time . . .
Responding to an
invitation from students in Sandy Kregers fifth grade class at Burns Park Elementary School, Interim President B. Joseph White stopped by to read to the youngsters as part of National Reading Month. White shared a letter Rachel Revere wrote to her husband, Paul, following his famous 1775 midnight ride. The letter is featured in One Hundred and One Treasures From the Collections of The William L. Clements Library. Ive been looking forward to this for a long time, White told the Burns Park students. My daughter went here when she was your age. Now she is a teacher. Ms. Kreger is one of the most important people in your life.
