Designed by architectural firm Albert Kahn Associates, the North Campus Media Union held its official opening in 1996. The 250,000-square-foot facility houses digital libraries, virtual reality laboratories, multimedia training studios, video conference facilities, and digital sound/video performance and design studiosin addition to traditional library collections. Open 24 hours a day, the study areas and computers see a lot of traffic during exam time.
