Move-In announced

Housing Information

Twelve city streets on or near the U-M campus will have non-standard traffic flow from 6 a.m–9 p.m. Aug. 27–30 during student Move-In. In addition, parking lot and space closures will affect a small portion of the University community. Parking areas involved during the entire four-day Move-In (unless otherwise specified) include:

  • Thompson Street structure, which will be accessible off Division Street only, for both entry and exit

  • Lot W16 (the Triangle Lot), located at Thompson, Packard and Madison, which will be closed to all permit parkers Aug. 28-29 only

  • Lot M26, on East Medical Center Drive, in which the southeast spaces closest to the street will be closed to permit parkers

  • Lot M28, on Washington Heights across from the Mary Markley Residence Hall, will be closed to all permit parkers

  • Bursley Hall parking lot parking spaces will be controlled

    The Designated Move-In program, which assigns each student a specific day to arrive, should ease traffic congestion on and around campus. Additionally, parents and students are directed not to arrive before 9 a.m. or to drive on or around campus between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
