A professor in the Medical School is this year's recipient of
the Golden Apple Award. Thomas Gest, associate professor of cell
and developmental biology, was the 13th professor to receive the
award from Students Honoring Outstanding University Teaching (SHOUT).
The SHOUT Web site says, "The Golden Apple Award honors those
teachers who consistently teach each lecture as if it were their
last." Gest has been with the University for almost five years.
