Answer from March 4 issue

The March 4 door, from the University of Michigan Detroit Observatory, stands as a testament to U-M’s history. In 1997–98, the observatory and its 1857 refracting telescope underwent a thorough restoration. The observatory is now a museum and center for 19th–century science, technology and culture.
