Road Scholars visit Upper Peninsula
Cornelia Porter, associate professor of nursing, examines her map on the final day of this years Michigan Road Scholars Tour. U-MFlint Chancellor Juan Mestas is in the background. The annual five-day traveling seminar allows faculty to visit and learn about several communities in Michigan.
For the first time, this years group visited the Soo Locks on the St. Marys River leading to Lake Superior. On the boat, a history professor from Lake Superior State University enthralled the U-M faculty members with a talk on the areas rich history and commerce.
