Native American Heritage Month
Members of the Grand River Singers perform in
the rotunda of the Exhibit Museum of Natural History Nov. 17 as part of
the UniversityÕs Native American Heritage Month. Upcoming activities include
a social sponsored by the Native American Student Association 8ø10 p.m.
Dec. 2 at the William Monroe Trotter House, 1443 Washtenaw Avenue, and
a screening of the film ÒPowWow HighwayÓ at 8 p.m. Dec. 4, also at the
William Monroe Trotter House. In a related event, a plaque commemorating
an 1817 Native American land grant to U-M was dedicated in a ceremony
