Meet U-M President Mary Sue ColemanThe U–M campus community will welcome President Mary Sue Coleman at two all-campus receptions Sept. 12 and Oct. 1. Faculty, staff, students and members of the Ann Arbor community are invited to greet the president at either of the two informal gatherings, which will be held from 4–5:30 p.m. on the Central and North campuses. The gatherings will be outdoors and will feature music, balloons, popcorn and other refreshments, as well as a chance to say hello to the new president. Coleman also will make brief remarks around 5 p.m. The welcome reception on Thursday, Sept. 12, will be 4–5:30 p.m. on Ingalls Mall, between Burton Tower and the Michigan League on Central Campus. The event scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 1, will be 4–5:30 p.m. outside the Media Union in front of the Lurie Tower on North Campus. The Michigan Student Assembly also will host a welcome reception specifically for students on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 5–6:30 p.m. in the Vandenberg Room of the Michigan League. Faculty, staff and students at the Flint and Dearborn campuses will hold welcome events for Coleman Sept. 16 and 24, respectively.
