Chances are youve passed this door hundreds of times or may have even crossed over its threshold . . . but do you remember where its located? Each week the Record will snap a stoop. See if you can guess where it is. If you cant get a handle on its location, check out the answer in the next Record.
Whos There . . .
Answer to Sept. 10 door puzzle
This is the whos who of doors! As the entrance
to the Henry Ford Estate at U-M Dearborn, built in 1915 for Henry Ford, the door featured in our Sept. 10 issue has welcomed the rich and famous. Guests to the estate include President Herbert Hoover, George Washington Carver, Prince Edward and the princess of Japan. It is the only national historic landmark home owned by the University and has been featured in national TV programs. The last time someone lived behind this door was in 1950. Members of the University community can tour the estate free by presenting U-M ID. (Photo by Bill Wood, U-M Photo Services)
