Police Beat Crime alerts remain active A juvenile reported July 5 that he had been fondled by an unknown man on University property off West Liberty Avenue in Scio Township. In the second incident, a University employee reported she had been grabbed from behind July 3 as she walked between Hubbard and Hayward drives on North Campus. Both victims, who were uninjured, were able to break free from their assailants and run for help. A $1,000 reward continues to be offered for information leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of the suspects in a June 9 incident in which a man received a non-life-threatening injury after being shot while walking on Beal Avenue. In the July 5 incident, the juvenile reported the incident occurred between 7:30 and 8:40 p.m. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, with a thin build, dark hair and a dark complexion. He was wearing sideburns and possibly a mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue shorts and grey shoes and driving an old, blue or grey, four-door car in poor, rusty condition with a loud muffler. The suspect in the July 3 assault is described as a 6-foot-2 Black man last seen wearing a dark, short-sleeved shirt. Anyone with information about any of these incidents is asked to call the University's confidential tip line at (800) 863-1355 or DPS at (734) 763-1131. Prison time for North Campus robbers Two other suspects in the North Campus robberies, Eric Oliver, 18, and Keisha Warren, 16, are scheduled to be sentenced July 21 and Aug. 4, respectively. Rooms of summer campers entered ROTC equipment stolen Frequent trespasser arrested for larceny The victim reported that when she returned to her table, her bookbag was missing. She described to library staff a man who earlier had been talking with her. DPS officers matched the description to Cunnegin and later found him outside the library with the bookbag.
