Traffic to detour near Biomedical Science Research Building

One block of Ann Street will be closed beginning June 6 and vehicle traffic on Glen Street will be limited in order to complete utility work in connection with the construction of the Biomedical Science Research Building.

Ann Street between Glen and Zina Pitcher will be closed 7 a.m. June 6 to 11 p.m. June 10. Access to the Catherine Street parking structure will be available only from the north entrance on Catherine Street.

Traffic on Glen Street between Huron and Catherine streets will be restricted to two lanes of northbound traffic from 7 p.m. June 6 to 6 a.m. June 9. Southbound traffic on Glen will be detoured west on Catherine to southbound State to eastbound Huron. Detour signs will be posted.

Stops for University transit buses and the Medical Center intercampus shuttle will remain as scheduled with one exception: To travel outbound on the Northwood route from the Kresge area, riders should board the buses at a temporary stop at Glen Street north of Catherine. To travel inbound on the Northwood route from Couzens Hall, a temporary stop will be on Observatory south of East Medical Center Drive.

If you have any questions about this project, please contact Daniel Belanger, Plant Extension project engineer, at dbelange@umich.edu, (734) 615-7629 or (734) 216-3299.
