Regents to meet June 19
The Board of Regents will hold its monthly meeting June 19 in the
Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments will
open the meeting at 1:30 p.m. People with disabilities who wish to attend

Summer migrant dental clinic
The School of Dentistry's summer migrant dental clinic will operate
for its 30th year June 23-Aug. 1. Dental students will provide a range
of oral health care services to migrant workers and their children at
three schools in the Traverse City area: Elk Rapids Middle, Kaleva Community
Elementary and Suttons Bay Elementary. Basic services include screenings,
oral exams and cleanings. When necessary, extractions, fillings and x-rays
will be provided. The dental students will advise parents and children
on the correct way to care for teeth and other actions to improve oral
health. More than twice as many students volunteered to participate in
this year's program than in the previous year. Last year, nearly 300 adults
and children received care at the three sites.
Job classification framework interchanges
After a yearlong process of research, focus groups and executive
briefings, the foundation for U-M's new job classification framework has
been developed. The proposed framework sorts jobs into logical categories
arranged by career. Two campus interchanges for faculty and staff were
held in May to explain the new framework, answer questions and receive
feedback. More interchanges are scheduled June 16-July 29. For more information

U-M-Dearborn seminar on religious diversity
U-M-Dearborn will host "Worldviews: A Seminar on American Religious
Diversity" June 23-28. The seminar will explore the changing religious

English language classes
The Family Housing Language Program is offering English classes to families
of international students, faculty and staff. Registration is underway
for the summer semester for children, teen and adult classes. Native English
speakers are needed as volunteer conversation or classroom partners. For
