| Senior middle blocker Katrina Lehman and the U-M volleyball team matched their best Big Ten start since 1997, improving to 4-1 in league play Oct. 9 with a 3-0 victory over then-No. 18 Michigan State. Lehman recently became the school’s all-time leader in blocks and helped the Wolverines (10-5 heading into an Oct. 11 match at No. 9 Penn State) secure back-to-back victories over nationally ranked teams. The Wolverines, who rank 14th nationally in blocks per game (2.93), are undefeated at Cliff Keen Arena this season (6-0) and have made it a tough place to visit with a 17-3 record there dating back to last season.
