Theresa Tran, Carl Chang and Jessica Tang participate in the Hate Crimes Candlelight Vigil on the Diag Jan. 29—one of the coldest nights of the year. The event was part of the MLK Symposium. It was designed to allow the community to come together and remember those who have been victims of hate crimes, was sponsored by United Asian American Organizations, Black Student Union, LaVoz Latina, Minority Affairs Commission, Muslim Student Association, Native American Student Association, Office of Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Affairs and the U-M chapter of the NAACP.
