Jan. 19 was a day of learning and teaching at a variety of events honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. At the MLK Day Activities for Children and Youth, U-M education student Amy Friedman works with Austin Merrick and Ewa Granosuc, both 8 years old. She discussed Brown v. Board of Education with the children and had them create pictures related to things they saw or heard that day.
