The a cappella competition will culminate April 1, and the winners of the art competition, "Images of the League," will be announced at a reception and award ceremony April 14.

The lecture series is sponsored jointly with the Michigan Union, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. All lectures will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Michigan Room of the Michigan League.

Leading off the series is a presentation Feb. 18 by Thomas Brunk of Detroit on "Pewabic Pottery's First Hundred Years." Barbara Krueger, co-director of the Michigan Stained Glass Census in Lansing, will present a lecture March 25 on "The Art and Architecture of Stained Glass," emphasizing stained glass installations in Michigan, especially those in Ann Arbor and at U-M.

An April 22 lecture titled "The Architecture of Pond and Pond"—the architectural firm that designed the Michigan Union, the Student Publications Building and the League—will be given by Mary Culver, a Pond and Pond historian. The Pond brothers were Ann Arbor natives.

Other events include a History Hunt Feb. 8-13, dinner theater presentations of "Moon Over Buffalo" Feb. 12-15, and an open house from 10 a.m.-'2 p.m. Feb. 19 showcasing the League's history and current services. A special student open house, "Fun at the League," will be held throughout the League and its Underground 6 p.m.-midnight March 3.

A focus on activities for women will take place 6-11 p.m. March 26 in the Michigan League Ballroom. "Artemisia: Women's Conference" will emphasize intergenerational activities concerning the history of and individual experiences in the League.

An anniversary gala with dinner, dancing and special memories honoring couples married at the League will begin at 6:30 p.m. May 22. Tickets are $75 and are available at (734) 647-7463.
