Daffodiluxe

Ann Arbor artist Susan Skarsgard, who is in her final year of graduate study at the School of Art & Design, stands with her creation: a line of 20,000 daffodils at the Nichols Arboretum. The project, called Imagine/Align, was designed to provoke a rethinking of the idea of lines, borders and imposed definitions, Skarsgard says. More than 150 volunteers helped with the project. Skarsgard is shown here at an April 24 opening celebration. (Photo by Marcia Ledford, U-M Photo Services)
