Give and you shall receive—Above: Gloria Santelle, a financial analyst with the Department of Surgery; Tony Pardington, manager of commercial billing for University Hospital; and Angie Terry, a financial support assistant for the U-M Health System (UMHS), model T-shirts received from U.S. troops stationed at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. Led by Santelle and Georgi Anne Lilly, a financial support assistant for UMHS, a group of employees has mailed boxes of supplies and goodies to troops in Kuwait for nearly two years. Lilly says her group will auction off the T-shirts—signed by troops who received the gifts—in order to ready more boxes. Lilly recently received e-mail from 1st Lt. David R. Hawlik of Dearborn: "It is fun opening up boxes and seeing what people have sent, out of the goodness of their heart." The group is selling raffle tickets until April 21. For more information, call (734) 647-9833. Below: A signed T-shirt—one of several hundred originally donated by the Office of Greek Life. It includes messages such as, "Go Wolverines" and "Go Buckeyes." (Photos by Martin Vloet, U-M Photo Services)
