Michigania, the Alumni Association's family camp and retreat center in northern Michigan, is auctioning off the painting "Still Life of Wine Bottles" by former U-M art professor Guy Palazzola. Proceeds will benefit the Resnick Family Nature Center at Michigania and the Little Traverse Bay Spirit Group scholarship fund, which helps high school students attend the University. SPORE grant deadline is June 1

The Comprehensive Cancer Center is soliciting applications for funds available from the Prostate SPORE grant. Support of up to $70,000 is available for a 12-month period for translational projects that attempt to understand the mechanisms involved in prostate cancer development or to find a prostate cancer cure. M-CARE to convert identification numbers

In an effort to help protect its members' privacy and security, M-CARE is converting all Social Security identification numbers to unique numbers. Members will receive new identification cards in May and June. The change applies to members of M-CARE's HMO, POS, Secure and Gradcare plans. Members in M-CARE Medicaid and PPO plans will not require new numbers; they already have unique identification numbers.
