The Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FASAP) and the Work/Life Resource Center (WLRC) are offering 11 different brown bag presentations for the 2004-05 academic year.
Brown bags are 45- to 60-minute presentations offered free of charge and available to any faculty or staff group or unit upon request.
All sessions are provided at the requestor's site and can be held during the lunch hour. They are ideal for staff development sessions, say those involved with FASAP and WLRC.
This year, two new brown bags are available: "Assert Yourself With Ease" and "Cross-Culture Differences." In addition, "Improving Family Communication" is being offered again after a five-year hiatus.
For a complete list of brown bags and a brief description of each, visit the FASAP Web site at http://www.umich.edu/~fasap or the WLRC site at http://www.umich.edu/~hraa/worklife.
Departments or units interested in scheduling a brown bag may call (734) 936-8660.
Groups interested in enhancing their understanding of conflict and conflict management also may request educational sessions through Mediation Services.
These one-hour sessions also are free of charge. Visit http://www.umich.edu/~mediate for descriptions of suggested courses, or call (734) 936-8660 to discuss specific needs.
