Nominations sought for faculty awards
The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies is seeking nominations for the following 2005 faculty awards with deadlines in April: Margaret and Herman Sokol Faculty Award in the Sciences (April 15), John D'Arms Award for Distinguished Faculty Mentoring in the Humanities (April 22), Henry Russel Award (April 22) and the Henry Russel Lectureship (April 29). Temporary Staffing Services increases fee
Temporary Staffing Services (TSS) is increasing its monthly staff leasing fee to $64, effective March 1. The increase is necessary for TSS, a self-funded unit, to cover its projected operating expenses. TSS, which provides clerical, service/maintenance, technical and professional/administrative staff, was established to provide all University departments a lower-cost source of pre-screened, tested and interviewed temporary employees. Employees who hold regular appointments now can view their position information from the My Personal Information page of Wolverine Access, https://wolverineaccess.umich.edu. Using the Appointment Information link, employees can access a summary of their current appointments, as well as current and future-dated additional pay. Current, future and historical information also is accessible to all employees with an active appointment.
