Photo: 'Upside Down' for MLK

Dancers perform choreographer Ronald K. Brown’s 1998 work “Upside Down.” Five of Brown’s dance creations will be performed during two Ronald K. Brown/Evidence shows as part of the 2005 MLK Symposium. Brown/Evidence will perform the University Musical Society productions at 6 p.m. Jan. 16 and 8 p.m. Jan. 17 in the Power Center for the Performing Arts. During the past 20 years, Brown has created a movement language that is all his own—modern dance influenced by the fast-paced rhythmic movements of Africa. A listing of MLK Symposium events is available online at http://www.mlksymposium.umich.edu.
