Rackham dean search committee seeks input

The search committee for the position of dean of the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs-Graduate Studies is seeking nominations of individuals who might be potential candidates, or who might be in a position to recommend others as potential candidates. Comments about particular qualities and concerns the committee should consider as it reviews nominations also are welcome. Nominations and applications will be reviewed beginning in February. Nominations, applications and comments may be sent in confidence to committee chair Professor Francis X. Blouin at rackham.search.chair@umich.edu.

Nominations sought for faculty awards

The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies is seeking nominations for the following 2005 faculty awards with deadlines in March: Faculty Recognition Awards (March 11), University Undergraduate Teaching Awards (March 18) and Distinguished Faculty Achievement Awards (March 24).

In addition, eligible graduate student instructors (GSI) who have completed at least two terms as GSIs are eligible for Outstanding GSI Awards. The deadline for nominations is March 11.
