U-M group receives LGBT Health Achievement Award

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA)—the nation's largest, independent medical student organization—along with the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA), has presented the seventh annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Health Achievement Award to the Medical School student group, Bisexuals, Gays, Lesbians and Allies in Medicine. AMSA and GLMA established the award to recognize a medical school, student group or individual students for exemplary achievement in promoting the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender health issues or concerns within their medical schools and medical centers. The award was presented as part of the AMSA's 55th annual convention in Arlington, Va.

Regents to meet July 21

The Board of Regents will hold its monthly meeting at 2 p.m. July 21 in the Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments will follow at 4 p.m. People with disabilities who wish to attend the meeting and need assistance should contact the Office of the Vice President and Secretary of the University in advance at (734) 764-3883.

Logo competition winner will net $1,000

The Center for World Performance Studies invites designers to submit entries in a public competition to create a new logo.
