Co-investigator and professor Phil Myers and graduate student Amelia Gotwals appeared at a reception last week in Washington, D.C., to show the technology used for BioKIDS, a research project being conducted in Detroit Public Schools. BioKIDS is a program funded by the National Science Foundation to discover how students can best learn about science. The study, led by Professor Nancy Songer of the School of Education, tracks knowledge development of 2,000 Detroit public middle-school students as they explore biology topics.
