Bicycles weren't in this rack near the Stephen M. Ross School of Business last week, and they probably weren't on the roads, either. A major snowstorm battered Ann Arbor during the start of winter break, leaving the city close to surpassing the record snowfall of 75 inches that fell in 1981-82. More than 7 inches fell Feb. 28-March 1, placing the campus well beyond its average annual snowfall of 40 inches. (Photo by Marcia Ledford, U-M Photo Services) |
