Gerard Faeth, professor of aerospace engineering, received the 2004 Alfred C. Edgerton Gold Medal for distinguished, continuing and encouraging contributions to the field of combustion. The medal was presented to Faeth at the 30th International Combustion Symposium in Chicago in July.
