An academic conference on campus will look back on the terrorist attacks of three years ago. The Michigan Student Assembly is presenting the free event, "Moving Forward While Looking Back: How America Has Changed Since September 11, 2001," from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 11.

The Business School is hosting the conference in Hale Auditorium and surrounding classrooms. Featured speakers include Jeffrey Toobin, CNN news analyst, and Scott Ritter, a former U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq. Breakout sessions will address topics such as civil liberties and homeland security.

Registration is free and open to all students, faculty and staff. However, failure to attend the conference will result in a $30 charge. For more information, visit http://www.umich.edu/~msa/.
