Chanticleer has developed a reputation for vivid interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz and from gospel to venturesome new music. The group's blend of 12 male voices, ranging from countertenor to bass, has been described as an "orchestra of voices." The New York Times has said of Chanticleer, ''These men are phenomenal.'' They will perform at 8 p.m. April 20 in the Power Center for the Performing Arts. (Photo by Lisa Kohler) |
