United Way contributions still needed

The United Way Campaign is winding down for 2005 but there still is time to contribute. Pledge forms will be accepted through Dec. 8. The needs are many throughout the U-M community and in neighboring areas. Employees are asked to think of those in need during the holiday season and donate generously. A pledge form can be downloaded at www.uway.umich.edu or can be obtained by calling Deborah Johnson at (734) 763-3109.

Record solicits holiday notices

The University Record will compile a list of holiday closing and reduced service reminders to print in the Dec. 12 issue. Units that wish to be included in the publication must submit information by 5 p.m. Dec. 6. After the Dec. 12 issue, the Record will resume publication Jan. 9.

December brings early payday

Due to the holiday season, the monthly payroll for December will be distributed Dec. 23, the same day as the last biweekly payroll for the month.

W-2s will be mailed in late January

The University Payroll Office will mail 2005 Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statements during the week of Jan. 23. To ensure prompt delivery by the U.S. Postal Service, faculty and staff must have their current home address in the University's central Human Resource Management System M-Pathways database. Home address updates can be made via the Web using the "Employee Business" option in Wolverine Access (wolverineaccess.umich.edu/index.jsp). Address updates also may be made using "Address Change Request" forms available from the Human Resources Records and Information Services Office at (734) 615-2000 or Health System Human Resources at (734) 647-2385.
