News BriefsRegents to meet Feb. 17The Board of Regents will hold its monthly meeting at 9 a.m. Feb. 17 in the Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments will begin five minutes after the conclusion of the regular business agenda. People with disabilities who wish to attend the meeting and need assistance should contact the Office of the Vice President and Secretary of the University in advance at (734) 764-3883. Funds available for collaboration in humanities The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies and the Institute for the Humanities are accepting proposals for summer funding for collaborative work in the humanities. Faculty and graduate students from any combination of fields may apply. All participants may work within the humanities or the group may include humanists and scholars from other fields such as the social sciences, arts, sciences or professional schools. Applications from two or more core participants should contain information explaining the contribution each will make to the collaboration. Funding of up to $15,000 and working space from May through August will be awarded to 3-5 groups. Proposals must be submitted by March 6.
