News BriefsM-CARE to change pharmacy networks; U-M plans unaffectedOn April 1, M-CARE will change pharmacy networks; however, University employees and retirees with M-CARE medical coverage are unaffected by this change. The U-M Prescription Drug Plan is a separately managed network and no changes to the member pharmacies for 2006 have been made. Integrative medicine program seeking applicants The Integrative Medicine Faculty Scholars Program, which teaches future faculty about the scientific evidence on the benefits and risks of complementary and alternative medicine, is accepting applications for 2006-07. Organizers will choose 8-10 faculty scholars, who will meet monthly to learn about theoretical principles, clinical practice, and evidence related to complementary, alternative and integrative therapies. These can include yoga, homeopathic medicine, vitamins, massage and acupuncture. Scholars also attend 10 full-day sessions held on the second Friday of each month from September through June. Football academy supports cancer center Football "widows" and female fans can spend a day learning the plays from U-M head coach Lloyd Carr, followed by a scrimmage on the field at Michigan Stadium, during the Women's Football Academy June 17 at Schembechler Hall.
