Raudenbush tribute slated for Nov. 18

Students, faculty, staff and friends from the Michigan Community Scholars Program and the Lives of Urban Children and Youth initiative will gather at 5 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Community Learning Center of Couzens Hall to celebrate the life of Stella Raudenbush, an instructor in the School of Education who died May 21 (see http://www.umich.edu/~urecord/0405/Jun13_05/obits.shtml).

Ethical challenges facing undergraduates will be focus of Nov. 9 forum

Plagiarism, standards and rules, academic integrity—these and other ethical issues students face daily in and out of the classroom will be the focus of an inaugural forum on ethics in public life. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the forum titled, "Academic Integrity and the U-M Undergrad: Are We Doing What We Should Be?" from 7-9 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Pendleton Room of the Michigan Union. The forum series is one aspect of a presidential initiative to raise awareness of ethics through education and public discourse.
