Spot-A-Mug celebrates America Recycles Day

Faculty and staff members who use a reusable mug or bottle for morning coffee or afternoon water break could earn a prize this week. In recognition of American Recycles Day Nov. 15, staff from U-M's recycling program in Plant Operations will distribute coupons on the Central and North Campus Diags to reusable mug and bottle users. The coupons will entitle recipients to discounts at local coffee shops. For more information about recycling programs at U-M, visit http://www.plantops.umich.edu/grounds/recycle.

Site highlights what is Uniquely Michigan

The Uniquely Michigan Website, which contains information resources, tips, trivia, services and enrichment options available to the University community, recently has been updated with six new feature articles profiling faculty and staff who take advantage of U-M's rich and wide-ranging resources. Pages highlighting children's activities, "Kids Stuff," Michigan lingo, "UM-isms," and fun facts about Michigan alumni, inventions, research discoveries, "Did U Know" add to the mix of helpful and, occasionally, offbeat information available on the site.
