New parking rules for A2 neighborhoods
By Parking and Transportation Services
The City of Ann Arbor will begin enforcing new parking restrictions in select neighborhoods near campus during the next few weeks.
Streets in the North Burns Park area will be limited to two-hour parking, except for residents, beginning today (Oct. 24). Enforcement of the two-hour limit in the Oxbridge neighborhood will begin Nov. 21. Signs will be posted on the affected streets.
Maps of North Burns Park and Oxbridge can be found at: http://www.ci.ann-arbor.mi.us/publicservices/customerservice/parking.html. Neighborhood residents, including tenants, can obtain permits and information from the same site.
In light of the new restrictions, University Parking and Transportation Services is reminding all faculty, staff and students about U-M transit services and parking options, including a pilot program for longer-term vehicle parking. Information, locations and fees can be found at: http://www.parking.umich.edu.
The City of Ann Arbor has consolidated information on many topics of interest to faculty, staff and students who live in the greater campus area. Information on parking, emergency notification, waste pick-up, voting and reducing crime can be found at: http://www.a2gov.org/goblue.
