Applications for the 2006-07 Center for the Education of Women (CEW) Scholarship Program are due Jan. 9. The scholarships for returning women students were established in 1970 to recognize and support the academic performance and potential of women who have experienced significant interruptions in their education. Applicants must have had an interruption in education, during which no academic credit was earned, of at least 48 consecutive months, or a total of 50 months, excluding interruptions of less than eight months. Students who are attending any of the three U-M campuses are eligible. Applications are available at CEW at 330 E. Liberty or may be downloaded at: http://www.cew.umich.edu.
