Regents meeting July 19

The Board of Regents will hold its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. July 19 in the Regents Room of the Fleming Administration Building. Public comments on agenda items will be taken prior to their consideration. Public comments on nonagenda items will be taken after the regular business agenda is finished. People with disabilities who wish to attend and need assistance should contact the Office of the Vice President and Secretary of the University in advance at (734) 764-3883. Lots on Keech Street reduced

The orange lot at the corner of Main and Keech streets, SC36, is scheduled to be closed for reconstruction including leveling and paving. Portions of the lot are expected to re-open to permit parkers in mid-August through mid-November, at which time the lot will be closed until the Stadium renovation project is completed in 2010. Alternative parking can be found in the lots around Crisler Arena—SC4 and SC5 for yellow permits and SC6 and SC7 for orange permits.

Tappan Avenue to be reduced

The parking lane and sidewalk along the east side of Tappan Avenue are scheduled to be closed through early July in order to dismantle the stone monument on the south side of Lorch Hall. The monument will be relocated to North Campus in front of the Art + Architecture Building. Two-way traffic is expected to be maintained, according to Facilities and Operations.
